A Message to Aunt Cindy, Uncle Ken, The Princess, and The Homeless Waif:(This is in response to a comment left on my last post, Post 169 - Dream Job.)
Your message cracked me up. When you said that you saw a fish that looked like Granny, the first thing that came to my mind was a puffer fish. Now that may not have been what you saw in the Deep Sea 3-D IMAX movie, but I can assure you that it is just as hilarious to think about.
Alex, you are more than welcome to stay with us for as long as you like. We'll definitely have the room! (
This is where I do a happy dance...) We actually got a call today from our Realtor that things are going good. Time is snailing by. I am anxiously awaiting the day (3:00 on July 16th) that we sign those papers and get that key in our hands.
It sounds like you guys had a blast on the fourth. Greg had to go to work early, but he got off at around 8-ish. This left me with absolutely nothing to do. So Kimberly and I went to the mall and did some shopping. The mission: buy something girly for Kimberly. (
Gasp!) Would you believe that I actually got
her to try on some skirts? And what is more astounding than that... she now has one in her possession, and she likes it! (
Gasp! again) My diabolical little plan is working... now I just have to get my claws into mom with her boy-scout wear (Ugh).
After the mall, we went to see Brenda. It turns out that she had gotten the day off and was having a fun ol' time lazing about the house. It turns out that she is getting better from her cold. (I hope that Ken gets better soon. There's nothing worse than being sick in the summer time.) When I got back to the house, Greg was back from work. We didn't go see any big fireworks, but we did go over to his brother's house to shoot off some little ones with our 1 year old nephew, Kayden. Kaleb liked the bright lights, but the poor little guy was whimpering when we lit one with high-pitched noises. We'll be going to see some big fireworks Saturday night that had been postponed from last Sunday either at Dewey or Eastland Mall.
Well, it is ridiculously late. So I'm off to bed. Don't have too much fun up there. And Kathryn, tell Grandma Becky hi!
Love,
Ketrasaurus (I am
so going to start using that...)

Hey kristin,
thanks for letting me stay with you! i dont even want to think about grandmas house. aunt cindy says that they love her...but from a far!!!ha well it sounds really bad with all the flooding.well ill be back on the 21st so ya.ok well bye-bye and tell kaleb that i said hey!and give kimberly a high-five for me!
Dear Ketrasaurus,
Thanks so much for your quick response as we were very concerned about our homeless waif and her future lodgings. I told her she should be very thankful she has a cousin who loves and cares for her. I am so glad that you have taken some interest in Kimberly because I felt that she just needed a little extra help with he female issues. Your mother on the other hand is a case I wish you well on as I had addressed that when I first saw her when we went out to Oregon. She did seem like she was in better spirits this time. I wish you well on rehabiltating your "D" family as we all have members similar and remember we wrote the book on dysfunctional. It is very hot here so Alex and I are laying low while Kathryn went with Grandma Becky for the weekend. We went to our new library when we first got back and checked out some books so we are having a contest to see who can read the most books, it so happens that Kathryn 's kicking our butts and our plan is to read this weekend so we will not be defeated and will prevail. We wll be going to have lunch with Ken and then spend the afternoon at a waterpark this week and probably somet hing else and we hope to see Kendra as well. The girls have really gotten into playing the Sims Game on my laptop during the day and we have played quite a few games. I am glad you like your new title I thought it was rather creative. I am sorry to hear Greg is working alot but relate I hardly see Ken as well, if I lived down there we could have so much fun because I too am by myself alot until I go back to work in August. Just before we went to visit everyone all I did was sleep, eat, and shop and now I am dealing with teenagers am I nuts or what. They have been doing a good job but we have been trying to get them on ou schedule at night and not stay up because Ken needs to rest when he is home at night, and they have gotten better, lights are out at 10:00. We all also decided to stop drinking pop and now drink water bcause it was better for us, we will see how long this lasts. I have been cooking for them and we all sit down and eat together, they really seem to enjoy it as it sounds like they just fend for themselves at home.
Well I will close for now and take care,
Aunt Cindy
